I remember back in 2011 when Demi started sharing the story of her struggle. I was still in my Disney Channel phase and thought Demi was the realest, most talented Disney girl of them all because she had a real voice and a real message to send to the world. Skyscraper was a power anthem for me when it came out and I admired how strong and brave Demi was to be so open and vulnerable about her flaws and weaknesses. I was a proud Lovatic for that Demi. Even though Demi changed her sound and started singing about different things, I was still proud of her for going sober and being in a better place mentally. While I am no longer a Lovatic due to her music having changed from what it once was, I was still heartbroken when I heard Sober and found out what it was about. It absolutely sucks to fall back down after all the hard work you put toward recovery and bettering yourself for such a long time. My heart goes out to her during this difficult time and I wish her a speedy recovery. She has my full support as she takes down this monster once again. The same goes out to anyone in the world who's struggling with addiction and putting so much effort into recovery. It's difficult, but my heart is with you and I believe you can do it. Bless.
